My personal experiences

In the last part of my website, I would like to describe my personal experiences regarding my hosting. Honestly, when the week started for me, I was in doubt about how well I would be able to speak English with the children and how well they would understand me. Unfortunately, I had problems with the latter, as there were children who had a very difficult time understanding English and I had to explain things to them several times, always from somewhere else. So this was a bit of a disappointment for me, as I started to blame myself for the lack of communication with the children. The majority of them understood very well what I wanted to say to them, but it was still difficult for them to answer me in English, when there was roughly one child with whom I could converse continuously and fluently in English. It was difficult for me that they spoke to me in Hungarian on average, and of course I had to answer in English. It was not difficult to speak to them in English, but what was unusual for me was that they could not answer me in English. Fortunately, this did not affect my ability to develop a good relationship with the children. In the first days, it was even more difficult for them to open up to me, so I didn't have the feeling of success either, but luckily on Friday, I could feel that I could close a fantastic week. My mentor kindergarten teacher was very nice to me, she always helped me no matter what. I quickly found common ground with the other colleagues working in the kindergarten and we always had a good conversation in the yard, when I wasn't running around with the children. I felt, when we were playing in the yard, that I could be a child again and do everything that I no longer have the opportunity to do in my current life. It meant a lot to me that children from other groups also invited me to play with them and were open to my company. So, all in all, I can say that I had a very nice and educational week at Csepel Montessori Kindergarten.
