During my one-week practise, I tried to observe as many things as possible about the life of the group and this educational method. First of all, I was most interested in how the use of the English language appears in kindergarten life. Kindergarten teachers used English as a foreign language in various ways. Usually in the morning, when the children arrived, Böbe always greeted them in English and initiated a conversation with them in this language. For example, he asked one of the children to make him a sandwich and pour him tea. In the activities of drawing, painting, modeling and needlework, English was always included, if only to the extent that the instructions were given to the children in a way that they always seemed to understand. Active learning of the surrounding world with environmental/mathematical content always appeared in the sessions that were held on the carpet. Their language was always English and it was very rare that the kindergarten teachers spoke in Hungarian. In the context of court life, I mostly heard Hungarian voices, but of course the foreign language was also used here. Finally, regarding the care activities, communication with the children took place in English, as I already mentioned in my daily reflections. I will discuss my observations with the educational method in a separate section. I'd like to share with you the other things I've noticed. My group consisted of very calm and well-tempered children, I suppose thanks to the customs and rules that were always followed and the safe atmosphere, which the kindergarten teachers paid great attention to every time. The children got dressed in a large common changing room, so there was no separate space for the groups. I can say the same about the bathroom and the yard, where everyone played together. Lunch time was also kept later for the children, in all other kindergartens. In terms of customs and rules, I think that this kindergarten is much stricter than, for example, the institution where I do my Hungarian internship. I will cover the main differences later.
