Monday
Today was my first day at the Montessori kindergarten in Csepel. In terms of getting there, the way was very easy and fast for me, but the building itself is a large kindergarten, which is why I couldn't find the entrance at first, so I got lost on my first day. As I have already mentioned, the kindergarten building is extremely large, and a daycare center is located right next to it. The special feature of this kindergarten is that the Montessori Mária type of education is used in the education of children, both in play and in all other areas. My day started with one of the nannies showing me around and showing me what it looks like and what I can find where. I ended up in the sunshine group. Presumably, I fell into the framework of an Earth Day weekly program, since today our day was 80% about the planets and the Earth. At the beginning of the day, I was able to see a painting-drawing-patterning and needlework visual activity initiated by my mentor kindergarten teacher, in which I was also able to actively participate and I noticed that the children needed my company and loved it when I helped them. In the framework of this session, we made a space rocket, which, to my great surprise, the children were able to write their names independently with printed letters. After that, I saw free play activities among the children. They played various skill development games. I saw examples of many rule games which were apparently one of the children's favorites. However, during the morning I also came across role-playing games, which for me clearly shows the children's creativity. Next came the eating of fruit, which was an essential part of the day, similar to the Hungarian practice ovim. It was new to me that the children picked out the various fruits and vegetables for themselves, paying attention to each other and to themselves. Then I saw a bilingual English-Hungarian session led by Böbe, who was my mentor kindergarten teacher during my hospitalization. Together, the children built a spaceship in which as many children sat as there were hoops. They sang a song (Five little men in a flying..) during it and at the end of the song, a child always sat out of the spaceship, and then the children sitting in the circle drew a heart on their left hand so that they knew which hand was which (the song had such a part that you had to look left and right, quoted as "They looked left and right"). The slide was also introduced as a play device. Then we got dressed, in which I also helped the kindergarten teachers. and we went out to the yard where we played together. (we played hide-and-seek, collected bodobács, went on a train) For me, it was very nice that the children were called to a place in such a way that the already known "Sunshine group stand in a line in front of me!" they told the children with a sentence. Lunch followed, where the daycare workers set the table (at each table there was one large and one small group child) and the children took the food and poured the water for themselves. After lunch, the children could take their plates, spoons and forks out (XY take out your plate!) personal care followed, in the framework of which the children washed their faces, brushed their teeth and used the bathroom. Then followed an English fairy tale, which was read aloud in English and Böbe translated it for them, and then the children fell asleep to soft music. And that's the end of my day.
